Are you a better practitioner than you were a year ago?

Not busier. Not seeing more patients. Not collecting more CEUs. Better.
Do you understand your patients more deeply? Are you more confident in your diagnosis? Do you have more tools available when the treatment you expected to work…doesn’t?
Can you explain what you’re seeing and feeling in a way that makes sense to your patients? Have you learned something that genuinely changed the way you practice?
After all these years of practicing and teaching Chinese medicine, I still think one of the most exciting things about our profession is that there is always another level. There is always something we can see more clearly: a diagnostic skill we can sharpen, a treatment approach we can add, a patient we can understand differently.
We have to keep ourselves on the road to better. That’s what I want teaching to be about. Not simply earning another certificate. Not learning something on Sunday that you’ve forgotten by Tuesday.
I want you to learn something that changes what happens when you walk into your treatment room.
For some practitioners, that might be understanding the pulses at an entirely different level. For others, it might be adding Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture to their practice. For someone else, it may be strengthening their knowledge of fertility, emotional patterns, facial diagnosis, or other aspects of Chinese medicine.
You don’t have to learn everything.
Just decide what would make you a better practitioner—and take the next step toward it. Because none of us should ever be finished becoming better at what we do.
