Dr. Martha Lucas

Dr. Martha Lucas – teacher, author, and practitioner – is uniquely qualified in the field of Chinese Medicine because she holds a Ph.D. in Research Psychology as well as her certification and licensing to practice Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Dr. Martha has more than 20 years of teaching and speaking experience and is described as “a dynamic speaker who keeps her classes engaged and who can explain complex information in an understandable form.” Taking online courses is no different – with most courses you not only receive a pdf of the presentation but video(s) of it as well! You can read, listen, and watch all designed to enhance your understanding of course materials!

She is internationally known for teaching and training Practitioners the Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture System and Pulse Diagnosis Biofeedback and Balancing. She also teaches practitioners how to properly take care of their patients’ skin using the product line that she developed called My Zen Skin Care.

Her private practice is based in Denver and Littleton, Colorado where she specializes in internal medicine – diagnosis and treatment of serious chronic illness and, of course, Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture.

Giving back: A portion of the income from every class, appointment, and product is donated to a local food bank and to the Cat Care Society.

Jennifer

Jennifer Charpentier

Jennifer Charpentier has been working with Dr. Martha for more than 15 years. While she is not working, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family (her husband, son, cat, and dog). She also enjoys playing soccer and reading, but not at the same time. Jennifer will be happy to help you with any questions. Kathleen Port

wants people to feel better, to help them experience their vitality and resilience. She earned her Masters in acupuncture in California and is also a (national) Diplomate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs. Since 1977, she has maintained a private practice in West Los Angeles that focuses on acupuncture and herbs, but also includes nutritional support, Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture, ear acupuncture/acupressure, and the therapeutic application of essential oils. She recently completed a year-long intensive course of study and is also now a certified Classical Five-Element Acupuncture practitioner.

Kathleen believes in the power of fresh air, walking, laughing, New Yorker cartoons and tea.

Prior to acupuncture, Kathleen studied and taught yoga for 11 years in Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles. She held a teaching certificate in the Iyengar tradition of yoga.

Rebecah Ziegler

Rebecah Ziegler – Cranial Sacral Therapist, Trauma Touch Therapist, Trauma Sensitive Yoga Instructor, Structural Yoga Therapist, Vocal Yoga Instructor, and certified member of International Association of Yoga Therapists. Rebecah cohosts the "Your at Home Medicine Bowl" podcast with Dr. Martha.

Dr. Asuman Kaplan Algin

Dr. Asuman Kaplan Algin

Dr. Asuman is a very well-known and highly regarded medical doctor and acupuncturist in Turkey. She has been our International Coordinator and Co-teacher of Cosmetic Acupuncture, Pulse Diagnosis, herbal courses, and Qigong courses in Turkey for more than 13 years. She met Dr. Lucas in Chicago many years ago, asked her to come to Istanbul to teach, which she did, and they have been working together and are good friends ever since. Together they have traveled all over Turkey - a beautiful country with beautiful people, and Greece.

Dr. Stephanie Lipnicki

Dr. Stephanie Lipnicki

Stephanie fell in love with Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture from the first course she took, and still feels she learns something new every time she assists Dr Lucas in teaching her classes. She has been a licensed Acupuncturist since 2010, and in addition to her passion for Mei Zen loves treating gynecological disorders as well as helping balance the emotional well being of her patients.
Prior to becoming an Acupuncturist, she practiced and eventually taught Massage Therapy and received her undergraduate in Nutritional Sciences from Rutgers University. Stephanie makes her home in New Jersey, and when not needling patients she is a mom to twin boys, a daughter, and four fur babies. She is also an avid reader, artist, dancer, and swimmer. Her motto is “Everyone Needs to Be Needled”
