Pregnancy can be a stressful time especially if the couple has had difficulty conceiving and are always on edge. The changes in the body, the planning, the morning sickness … all that can add stress to what can also be a wonderful, feel great time in a woman’s life.
It turns out that acupuncture treatments, studies give 2 treatments a week, can not only help the woman be calmer but also helps with feeling tired and out of control.
You probably already knew this but did you know that some women are afraid to receive acupuncture when they are pregnant? In fact, in some European countries, acupuncture is not allowed during the first trimester! We were shocked to hear this considering how much Dr. Lucas has admired the advancements in medicine she sees when she teaches overseas. In her clinic, Dr. Lucas treats women (and men) prior to conception, during the entire pregnancy, and afterwards to rebuild lost qi and blood. Bottom line, it is safe.
Don’t forget … Dr. Lucas always recommends opening the Dai Mai in women who are pregnant. You’ll be able to feel it in the pulses and then feel it unblock.
